Current Alberta land-title registration fees

For registrations received from May 1, 2026, Alberta’s common-document fee schedule lists:

Transfer of land: $50 plus $5 per $5,000 of land value.
Mortgage registration: $50 plus $5 per $5,000 of principal.
Additional titles: $15 for each additional title affected by a transfer and $5 for each additional title affected by a mortgage.

The calculator rounds each value up to the next entered increment. Other documents and transaction circumstances may create additional charges, so the fields remain editable.

Use the registration-fee calculator with the closing-cost, mortgage and affordability tools. The official schedule uses separate transfer and mortgage calculations. Property tax, insurance, utilities, legal fees and repairs should be tested separately.
